The dinner, which was held at the Concorde Club in Eastleigh, was to celebrate Portland’s Managing Director, Carl Faulds, appointment as National President of Insolvency Regulator, the Insolvency Practitioners Association. After a champagne reception, sumptuous 4 course meal and speeches, guests were treated to ‘Alvin as Elvis’ to round off a highly entertaining night of glitz and glamour.
After the event, which was organised by his fellow directors, Carl commented "It was amazing and humbling that so many of the area's top professionals came out to celebrate my appointment as President. We had fantastic night topped by the sight of accountants, bankers, solicitors, all standing up holding hands, swaying to Alvins version of the classic Elvis song 'American Trilogy', with not a dry eye in the house".
Based on some of the feedback we have received so far, the dinner was an out and out success which guests thoroughly enjoyed, not forgetting the entertainment which went down a storm.
Local business person and well known former senior partner of Paris Smith, Malcolm Le Bas commented “I thoroughly enjoyed myself at what was, by any standards, an outstanding evening. It was a delight to meet you all, and Carl should be mighty proud of the prestigious achievement.”
Mark Osgood of law firm Moore Blatch commented, “Many thanks for an excellent evening on Monday - Elvis was brilliant! Congratulations again on your appointment Carl, richly deserved, and well done on raising the profile of the southern region”.
