The dinner, held at Southampton’s iconic Concorde Club, was attended by over 110 South-coast based business people. Guests were greeted to a champagne reception, sumptuous ‘soul food’ themed 4 course meal and followed by a crowd pleasing speech by Portland Managing Director Carl Faulds.
Entertainment was provided by one of the UK’s leading tribute acts, ‘The Briefcase Blues Brothers’, who’s attention grabbing performance left guests with no other choice but to move and sing along to the music. My Girl, Stand By Your Man, Jailhouse Rock were performed to an appreciative audience, and of course Minnie The Moocher with echo’s of Hi-de-hi-de-hi-de-hi from all in attendance. To top the night off, guests and Portland staff took to the stage for a Broadway worthy finale to the night.
Carl Faulds commented:
“We would just like to thank our business partners for making it yet another memorable night and for supporting us over the years. For this year’s entertainment, we found something that would not only be entertaining, but also a break from the norm. Seeing over 100 local business people wearing the iconic Blues Brothers hat and glasses, truly made the night a one-off event“.
