Portland team raises over £600 for local children’s hospice

At 10.30am on Saturday 13th May whilst most people were inside sheltering from the torrential rain, a team from Portland were at the Matterley Bowl in Winchester, Hampshire about to start the Gauntlet Games!

This madness was in aid of Naomi House and Jacksplace, local hospices for children young adults located just outside Winchester.

After pushing our way past a partially dressed gladiator, we were met with a wooden wall to climb over.  Another run lead to a giant “spider’s web” and then came the inflatables and the mud!

By the end we were soaked, exhausted but smiling.  The smile got even bigger when we saw that our sponsorship was up to just under £700, with the promise of more donations to come.
